Welcome to 2023 Spring Ball with LaGrange Park Little League!

The objective of the La Grange Park Little League shall be to instill in the youths of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may become well-adjusted youngsters and good citizens

 

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.

Registration
Regular registration will be open until 2/15.  For divisions that have not reached capacity during regular registration there will be a late registration waitlist and a $20 late registration fee.

 

Season Schedule
Each team will play approximately 14 games plus practices.  Spring ball will start in mid-April and run until the Day of Champions on Saturday, June 24th. 

 

Team Organization
The total team count will be driven by field availability and the number of managers that volunteer. If you would like to manage or coach please select that option during the volunteering section of the website.

Softball

Little league softball defines a girls League age by her birth year.  This can be confusing as it leads to girls in the same grade playing in different divisions. 

DIVISION BIRTH YEAR (League Age) Description / Notes
Co-Ed T-Ball Ages 4-6 Players hit a safety ball off of an adjustable batting tee.  No score is kept. 

Coach Pitch

Softball

K-2nd Grade

Coach pitched softball (batting tee when needed);

Girls should be willing to attempt to hit a pitched ball. 

 Recommend a year of tee-ball FIRST for 1st Graders

Kid Pitch

Softball

1st-3rd Grade Kid pitch softball (coach assisted when needed)

Minors

Softball

Birth Year 2012, 2013 

(League Age 9,10)

Kids pitch with coach assistance based upon league rules. 

Eligible for post season district play.

Majors

Softball

Birth Year 2010, 2011

(League Age 11,12)

Competitive kid pitch;

Eligible for post season district play

Juniors

Softball

Birth Year 2008, 2009

(League Age 13, 14)

Baseball

DIVISION Little League Age Description / Notes
Co-Ed T-Ball

League

Ages 4-6

Players hit a safety ball off of an adjustable batting tee.  No score is kept. 

Coach Pitch

Baseball

Ages 6-7

Coach pitched baseball (batting tee when needed);

Kids should be willing to attempt to hit and field pitched balls. 

Rookies

Ages 7-8

Played with balls, strikes, and outs along with kids pitching and playing catcher.

A coach pitches if a batter gets four balls or hit by pitch 

Minors

Ages 9-10

6 innings of competitive baseball in which the score is kept. Entirely kid pitch with no in-game

assistance from coaches.  An umpire will call balls and strikes from behind the plate. 

Majors

Ages 11-12

Majors is similar to Minors but more competitive and on a larger playing field
